Trip Report: Outside CAPITOL reef National Park
The area around Capitol Reef National Park is one of my favorite places in Utah. Maybe it is the introvert in me discoverying a National park that is not very crowded.
We booked a last minute guide at Fremont River Guides. They were nice enough to squeeze us in, but I do recommend booking ahead of time. BUT look at this guy! He was a total character and I learned a ton (cause I am a total clutz and flyfishing is the cryptonit of clutzes).
We also headed down to fish by ourselves at a sweet little lake called Lower Bowns Reservoir. The place was empty and beautiful. We are so grateful for these get away weekends cause we can learn to talk to each other again!
